John Arthur Pflum, 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born on March 13, 1952, in Connersville, Indiana to John Sebastian and Adele Carolina (Frey) Pflum. He was a 1970 graduate of Connersville High School and a 1980 graduate of Anderson University.
He retired from Community Hospital of Anderson as a biomedical engineer. He was the former pastor of Perkinsville Community Church.
He loved listening to Christian music. He loved his churches and his family. He loved to play basketball and hike. He also loved to garden.
John is survived by his wife, Susan Kay (Reddick) Pflum; son, Ryan (wife, Erin) Pflum of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Sarah Uminski of Noblesville; nine grandchildren, Lydia, John, Caleb, Jacob, Anna, Mary, Colin, Maddox and Ava; two brothers, Mark (wife, Jeanie) Pflum of Connersville and Bill (wife, Carol) Pflum of Connersville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Pflum; and a sister, Marlene Martin.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Ryan Pflum officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
