John Franklin Morris

John Franklin Morris, 58, of Pendleton, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his home in Pendleton, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.

He was born on December 5, 1966, in Simi Valley, California to Phillip E. and Randy M. (Rackin) Morris. He was a graduate of Lighthouse Bible Institute in Lemon Grove, California. He was a preacher of the Word of God. His life verses were Isaiah 42:7-8 KJV.

John was a true servant of God. He was always telling people about Jesus and his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a fantastic family man who loved his wife and children. He excelled at being an amazing grandfather. He was very healthy and enjoyed fitness. John worked in various positions in many different career fields.

John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kim M. (Girard) Morris; four sons, John (wife, Laci) Morris Jr., Isaiah (wife, Ashlin) Morris, Jeremiah Morris and Josiah Morris; two daughters, Hannah (husband, Jay) Reininger and Sarah (husband, John) Truitt; his father, Phillip E. Morris; a brother, Phillip Morris; sixteen grandchildren, Sophia Morris, Oliver Morris, Wyatt Morris, Lainey Morris, Kylie Morris, Nathan Morris, Claire Morris, Tatum Morris, Piper Morris, Bo Morris, Hope Reininger, Evelyn Reininger, Samuel Reininger, Andrew Truitt, Julia Truitt and Joanna Truitt; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna Morris; his mother; and a sister, Julia Dollara.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, 3303 South State Road 13, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor John Hines officiating.
