Joan Elaine Ryan

Joan Elaine Ryan, a beloved resident of Pendleton, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, just two days shy of her 92nd birthday. Born on October 19, 1934, in Massachusetts to Walter and Clara Crine, Joan was the epitome of resilience and grace.

Joan shared a wonderful life with her husband, Timothy Ryan III, for 50 cherished years before his passing in 2021. She had a real passion for being outdoors, particularly when it came to landscaping her yard, tending to flowers, and maintaining her beloved pond. She will be remembered for selling handwoven baskets for Longaberger, and her annual mums sales every fall were a highlight in her life.

Joan is survived by her close friends, John and Jeanne Filbrun and their family which became a part of Joan's family, the family at Sugar Fork Crossing and those who were able to take great care of her for the last 2 years, and the lovely staff at Paradigm Hospice. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and siblings.

Joan's wishes were to have a private burial that has already taken place at this time.
