Jimmie R. "JJ" Heck, 65, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis following a brief illness which was not associated with the COVID-19 virus.He was born on September 7, 1956, in Anderson, Indiana to Jimmy Heck and Rose (Crooks) Heck.JJ was a 1975 graduate of Lapel High School where he played basketball and ran cross country.He retired after 34 years of service from Owens-Illinois Brockway.JJ enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a big fan of IU Basketball and Alabama Football; "ROLL TIDE" He truly will be missed by his long-term buddies at Scampys Pub.He is survived by his wife, Joyce Heck of 25 years; two daughters, Shawna (Jim) Beemer, Nikki Heck (Misty Fippen); two grandchildren, Morgan Heck, and Tyler Beemer; one sister, Cindy (Bill) Wallace; one brother, Terry (Christa) Heck.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donnie McFarland and one sister, Kathy Heck-KnappPer JJs request there will be no visitation at this time.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home has been entrusted to the services for Jimmie.Online condolences may be made at: www.hersbergerbozell.com
