Jed Essex III, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
He was born November 14, 1949, in Anderson to the late, Jed & Marveda (Keesling) Essex Jr.
Jed was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served in Vietnam in the 1st Marine Division, 9th Engineer Battalion. He retired from General Motors. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Madison County, the American Legion Chesterfield Post #408, the VFW, and of the Forty & Eight.
Jed is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherrie (Shorb) Essex; daughters & sons-in-law, Kristie & Don Pate and Joanna & Jacob Evans; brother & sister-in-law, Arthur & Pam Essex. He was preceded by his brothers, David & Ralph Essex.
Graveside services will be at 11 am Monday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, with Military Honors.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
