James “Jim” A. Snodgrass, 87, of Pendleton passed away May 22, 2025, at his home.
He was born on January 10, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Homer Glenn and Cleo Dell (Evans) Snodgrass and was a Pendleton resident most of his life.
Jim retired as a tool designer from GM Delco Remy, Anderson in 1992 following 31.9 years of service.
He was a 1956 graduate of Warren Central High School, Indianapolis and received his Technical Degree from Purdue University.
Jim was a US Army veteran and longtime member of First United Methodist Church Pendleton.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara A. (Wilson) Snodgrass whom he married, July 23, 1961; three children, Bradley A. (Deborah) Snodgrass, Jeff (Tammie) Snodgrass and Julie (Piper) Keairnes; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Gregory) Bluemling, Shaelin Keairnes, Ethan Keairnes, Abigail Snodgrass and Emma Snodgrass; and two great grandchildren, Skylar and Exer Rose Bluemling.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 225 W. State St., Pendleton, Indiana with services at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Groves officiating. A private family graveside service will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital, First United Methodist Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
