Mr. James I. Orr

James “Jim” I. Orr, 86, passed away April 9, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of Markleville. Jim was born July 23, 1934, in Millville, Indiana to the late, Chester & Hazel (Dinkins) Orr. Jim retired from Delco-Remy after 38 1/2 years. He was a master tinkerer and could fix anything. Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Aline (Guffey) Orr; sons, Dewayne (wife, Nanette) Orr & Brian Orr; he was “Jim-Pa” to Callaway Aranda; brother-in-law, Russell Guffey; sister-in-law, Eunice Epperhart; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Basil, Fred, & Max Orr, Hilda Walker, & Gloria Gregory. Services will be at 2pm Tuesday at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson, with Pastor Donnie Silvers officiating. With burial at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
