Jacob Allen Godbey, 25, of Pendleton, passed away July 24th, 2023. Jake was born to Scott (Krista Horine) Godbey and Andrea (Steve) Kirk in Anderson, Indiana on April 10, 1998. Jake was a 2016 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. He worked for CenterPoint Energy as a Gas Specialist and was a member of IBEW Local 1393 as an apprentice. Jake enjoyed his time with his fur baby, Hank. He was a past volunteer for the Pendleton Fire and Ambulance Services.
Jake is survived by his parents; grandparents, Gary Godbey, Linda Godbey, Dean and Patty Walters; brother, Ryan Hawkins; sister, Kaitlyn Hawkins; nephew, Maxwell Hawkins; uncles, Brandon (Jen) Godbey, Blaine (Mendi) Godbey; aunts, Angie (Bill) Greenwood, Jacinda (Pat) Mapes, Mary (Jon) Harvey; and special friends, Kaleb Ray and Nate Owens.
A visitation will be Sunday July 30, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre, Lahm Chapel 211 E. State St., Pendleton, IN. Funeral Services will be Monday July 31, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Michael Canada officiating. Committal services will follow at Friends Cemetery, 1794 W. ST RD 38, Pendleton, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tony Bennett Memorial Foundation in Jake’s name.
