Ivallou Sisson

July 22, 1933 — December 27, 2025

Kettering

Ivalou Sisson, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully passed away December 27, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio, at the age of 92. Born on July 22, 1933, in Noblesville, Indiana, Ivalou was a beacon of kindness and a gentle soul who devoted her life to her family. Her joyous spirit and sweet demeanor left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Ivalou adored her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa McClure, Jo (Steve) Karmele, and Linda Sisson and she poured her heart into supporting and nurturing them. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Melissa (Steve) Clos, Crystal McKenna, Parker Lee (Sara) Sisson, Emily (Marc) Raslich, Lauren McClure, Edie (Sammy Pettinichi) Karmele, Erik (Bridget Donnelly) Karmele, Kara (Charles) Poff, and Lydia (Marley) Booher-as well as her great-grandchildren, Alexis (Jake Robertson) McGee, Eli Clos, Brenna Clos, Rowen Clos, Connal McKenna, Cailin McKenna, Isabel Greene, Gus Greene, Piper Raslich, Adrian Hansen, Mabel Poff, Arthur Poff, and Opal Poff. With her brother, Kay Don Stevenson, and sister, Etta Sue Gann, Ivalou enjoyed many cherished moments that will forever remain in their hearts. Ivalou's family always came first, and she loved each of them with a depth that was truly remarkable.

Ivalou experienced deep sorrow with the passing of her beloved husband, Charles P. Sisson, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years, and her son, Jeffrey Lee Sisson. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cedric and Ruby (Everitt) Stevenson.

An active member of the Clarkesville Christian Church for many years, Ivalou immersed herself in faith and community. Her involvement with the Wayne-Fall Lions Club showcased her dedication to service and support. She loved to read and frequently attended church services, finding solace and joy in the embrace of her faith. Ivalou cherished traveling adventures alongside her husband and sister, creating treasured memories that would last a lifetime.

Though her passing was sudden, we take comfort in knowing that Ivalou is now in heaven with Jesus, her son, Jeff, and her parents as well as holding her dear Charles' hand, smiling down upon us all. Her sweet, loving nature and ever-present smile were infectious, reminding us to celebrate life and share love. As we gather to honor her memory, we will forever hold onto the lessons she imparted and the love she so freely gave.

Ivalou Sisson will be deeply missed, but the light she brought into our lives will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
