Ms. Irene K. Kirkwood Thomas

Irene K. Kirkwood Thomas, 90, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. She was born January 13, 1928, in Hardinburg, KY to the late Samuel & Lucy (Woods) Carman. Irene worked for Indiana Knit Wear for several years, Buckley’s and then was a caregiver for the elderly. She loved gardening. She is survived by her children, Barbara Fuston, Michael (wife, Pam) Kirkwood, Rebecca (husband, Russ) Spiker, & Myra (husband, Dan) Rehmann; several grandchildren, great, & great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Kirkwood & Myron Lee Thomas; daughters, Charlotte Jeannie Likens & Sharon Lee Kirkwood; five siblings; and granddaughter, Candy Lynne Willard. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
