Hubert Ronald Jarrell

Hubert Ronald "Ron" Jarrell, 95, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Northview Health and Living.

He was born July 9, 1929, in Anderson, the son of Hubert and Christine Jarrell.

Ron graduated from Anderson High School and was a truck driver for the Emge Packing Company for many years.

He married Nancy Williamson in 1950, who preceded him in death in 1993.

Ron moved to Seattle, Washington in 1975 where he drove a truck until retiring and returned to Madison County in 1994.

He married his second wife, Pat, in 1996 and she preceded him in death in 2016.

Ron attended the Florida Station Church of God. He was a fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. He was an avid golfer for many years. Ron enjoyed playing Euchre, jigsaw puzzles and mahjong.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Ken) de la Bastide; daughter-in-law Jamie (Bill Haygood); grandchildren, Jason Pigg, Charity (Danny) Elsten, Kensie (Eric Potter) Jarrell, Jake Jarrell and Kaleigh Jarrell: great-grandchildren, Justice Harris, Will Harris, Jimmy (Jeni) Pigg, Katie Pigg, Jordan Elsten, Elias Richards, Evelyn Richards and Edris Graham; and great-great-grandson, Jason Scott Pigg.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Williamson; wife, Pat Jarrell; sons, Kenny Jarrell in 2014 and Kerry Jarrell in 2018; his parents; and three sisters.

The family wants to thank the caregivers at Community Hospital of Anderson, Careline Health Group and Northview Health & Living for their compassionate care and support.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Bozell Funeral Home, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss of the Florida Station Church of God officiating.

Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
