Haines House, 93, of Anderson and former Pendleton resident died March 17, 2026, at Primrose Assisted Living Facility in Anderson.
He was born September 22, 1932, in Indianapolis to the late Perry Wyant and Anna Louise (Haines) House.
Haines was a 1950 graduate of Pendleton High School and was a US Army veteran.
He was longtime farmer until he retired at the age of 82.
Haines was an avid Purdue football and basketball fan. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. Haines was a member of the holding committee responsible for the building of Pendleton Heights High School at the time of its consolidation.
Survivors include his daughters, Elaine (Jeff) Kassebaum of Macy and Ann (Ray) Poole of Anderson; stepdaughters, Julie (Bruce) Corrigan and Jill (Brad) Edmonds both of Bowling Green, Ohio; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alnita (Ferguson) House; son, Tom House; and infant son, Mark House.
A visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:30, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Friends Cemetery, east of Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Historical Museum.
