Grace Irene Markle

Grace Irene Markle, 92, of Riverview, FL, formerly of Anderson, IN, passed away on May 10, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1933 in Anderson to the late Paul Henry Stohler and Audrey (Ridgeway) Stohler-Gooding. Grace married the love of her life, Harold "H" Markle on August 28, 1953 and the two were married for 65 years before his passing. She worked in the secretarial field for a number of years before retiring. Grace found her spiritual home at North Christian Church and was a faithful member for many years. She loved baseball and attending high school basketball games. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Regena (Ted) Schipp and Becki (Buddy) Davis; grandchildren, Logan Stone, Aubrey Stone, Sierra Canfield, Brook Canfield, and Amanda Canfield; sister, Faith Burmeister; special friends, Alan and Darlene Heath; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Dellarose Gustin and Paula Nugent; and brothers, David Stohler and Phil Stohler.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at North Christian Church, 32 State St, Markleville, IN 46056. Funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Ovid, IN. Memorial contributions in Grace's name may be gifted to North Christian Church.

Grace's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
