George H. Sheller

George H. Sheller, 97, of Tipton, passed away on May 10, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. George was born on March 6, 1928, in Noblesville, Indiana to the late Paul and Arna (Hersberger) Sheller.

Shortly after graduating from Lapel High School in 1946, he married the love of his life, Wanda Carlin, and the two were married for 76 years. Not only was George a lifelong farmer, he also worked at Delco-Remy as a machine operator before retiring after 38 years.

He was a former member of Prairie Baptist Church and Noblesville Baptist Church. George loved farming and mowing his yard. He was still mowing up until this spring! He enjoyed working; but most importantly, he loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda; son, Garry (Karen) Sheller of Leavenworth, Indiana, Paul (Danielle) Sheller of Lapel and Mark (Bethany) Sheller of Noblesville; daughter-in-law, Sherry Sheller of Noblesville; grandchildren, Bridget (Brandon) McKinney, Ryan Sheller, Amber Sheller, Sara (Eric) Wright, Adam (Amy) Sheller, Aaron (Lacey) Sheller, Kelley Sheller, Clint (Madeleine) Sheller, Kyle (Sarah) Sheller, Garrett Sheller, Jordan Sheller, and Allison Sheller; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Teresa Sheller, David Sheller, and George Alan Sheller; grandson, Chris Sheller; brother, Russell Sheller; and sisters, Marjorie Carey, Rose McDonald, and Harriett Turner.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in George's name may be gifted to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or the charity of your choice.

George's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel.
