Gay Ellen Mahoney

Gay Ellen Mahoney, 65, of Fortville, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.

She was born on May 27, 1960, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Edward Branch and Vera Wilson. She retired after many years of working in the insurance and staff leasing fields.

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved gardening, especially her flowers. She enjoyed going on cruises.

Gay is survived by her husband, Robert G. Mahoney Jr.; five children, Jessica Cerda of Oviedo, Florida, Lindsey (RJ) Cummins of Inverness, Florida, Bryce (Sam) Mounsey of Inverness, Florida, Matthew (Arianna) Mahoney of Daytona, Florida and Robert G. Mahoney III of DeLand, Florida; a brother, Michael Branch; a sister, Holly Branch; fourteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phillip Branch.

Cremation was chosen.
