Frank W. Hinton, 82, of Ingalls, Indiana passed away, August 2, 2025, at his home.
He was born July 10, 1943, in Ontario, Oregon and resided in Ingalls since 2016.
Frank retired from GM Delphi in Anderson as a corporate accountant and purchasing agent following 30 years of service.
He was a 1961 graduate of New Plymouth, Idaho High School and the University of Idaho. Frank was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church and active in his church life group. Frank had been active in swimming activities with his children. He enjoyed gardening, ballroom dancing and fishing. Frank was the first in his family to graduate high school as well as college. He was ranked in the top ten percent world’s fastest in 100- and 200-yard dash events. Frank was a guest lecturer in accounting at Ball State and Anderson Universities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. and Betty M. (Oyler) Hinton.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara L. Hinton; children, Shel (Ken) Weaver and Anthony (Elise) Hinton; stepdaughters, Renee (Jon) Andrews and Dawn (David) Chandler; grandchildren, Christopher (Amber) Chandler and Brittany Stutzman; great grandchildren, Chandler Stutzman, Cambry Stutzman, Logan Chandler and Aria Chandler; brother-in-law, Glen (Michelle) Bettinger; and brothers, Jerry Hinton and Danny Hinton.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Fall Creek Christian Church, 1102 W. 700 S., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Tom Wiles officiating and will include military honors. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fall Creek Christian Church Youth Ministry.
