Evelyn Miller-Mench

Evelyn Miller-Mench, 1, of Pendleton, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, following an extended illness.

She was born on August 9, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Wesley Miller and Alaina Mench. Affectionately known as Evie, she loved dancing to anything with a beat regardless of whether it was music on the radio or TV. She was a warrior that fought a brave battle with epilepsy (Dravet Syndrome). The fighter that she was fought a good fight from birth until the very end. She loved her brother, Hank, very much. He was her absolute best friend and biggest supporter.

Evelyn is survived by her parents, Wesley Miller and Alaina Mench; her brother and best friend Henry Miller-Mench; grandparents, Jeffery and Phoebe Miller, Lori Mench; great-grandparents, Sarah Osborne, William Arnold and Karen McFarland, C. Allen Beaty, Nathana McFarland, and Sharyl Mench; aunts and uncles, William and Kaylie Miller, Cortland Burris, Celeste (Gigi Poe) Burris, Chelsea (Jared Cantrell) Miller, and Aleah Mench; as well as cousins, Ace, Harmony, Max, Rory, Harrison and Archie.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony “Tony” Mench II; and her great-grandparents, William Osborne, Mary Jo Beaty, Anthony “Tony” Mench, and Archie and Mary Retherford.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
