Evalyn Elayne Kemerly Watson Beedle passed away at home on July 14, 2024.
Evalyn was born on February 26, 1926. She was 98 years old. She attended Mount Comfort High School. Evalyn was the last surviving member of her 1944 High School graduating class. She always wanted to be a nurse. Then she met Raymond P. Watson and got married on January 11, 1946. They were married for 34 years and had seven children. She was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond P. Watson and Frederick Beedle; her parents, Ransom and Elsie (Land) Kemerly; brothers, Kenneth and Ivan Kemerly. She also had a sister, Barb; and a brother, Jerry Kemerly both who passed away at birth. She is survived by her children, Mike (Debbie) Watson, Pam (Paul) Baker, Linda (Richard) White, Rick Watson, Frank (Tracy) Watson, Barbara Watson, and Melanie (Rick) Allen; her sister Leola Faye McGinnis; and a brother, Robert Kemerly. She had 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and also several nieces and nephews.
Evalyn became a Christian as a young teenager. She attended Amity, Otterbein, Sugar Grove, and Trinity Park United Methodist Churches throughout her lifetime. Evalyn taught Sunday school for adults and children and attended Annual Conference for many years before and after meeting Rev. Fred Beedle.
Through the years Evalyn and Raymond farmed. Evalyn also worked at RCA, Indiana Knitwear and following the death of Raymond she went back to school to become an LPN. She worked at Hancock Regional Hospital until her retirement at age 68. She met Fred Beedle through his ministry at Maxwell United Methodist Church and he was also a visiting pastor at HRH. They were married for 16 years.
Evalyn's faithful life has been an inspiration to her family and many others.
The family feels blessed to have been able to share so many events and family milestones with her. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Bozell Funeral Homes-Condo Chapel, 130 South Main St., Wilkinson, IN, 46186 at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mendon Cemetery following the service.
