Edward L. Blockson

Edward L. Blockson, 80, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2025. Born on August 31, 1945, Ed was the son of the late Lillard and Anna (Brown) Blockson. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1963 and went on to marry his beloved wife, Lynn Blockson, on August 17, 1968.

Ed ran his own battery and scrap business, where he dedicated years of hard work. Outside of work, he was known for his love of golf, spontaneous drives on the road, and cherished his trips that him and Lynn took. He was a family man who adored spending time with friends and family, making memories that will last forever.

Ed is survived by his wonderful wife, Lynn (Russell) Blockson; his sisters, Jan (Ted) Hoppes and Patti (Jeff) Mahoney; his sister-in-law, Teresa Pool; his brother-in-law, Don Pool; best fur buddy, Bailey and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Jay and Bret Blockson; his brother, Donnie Blockson; and his sister, Penny Lamkin.

The family has entrusted Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel with the arrangements.

Memorial Contributions in Ed's name can be made out to the Salvation Army, Animal Protection League or Christian Center in Anderson, IN.
