Douglas M. Scherer, 24, Newnan, Georgia formerly of Lapel, passed away Thursday January 4, 2007.
He was born on September 27, 1982, in Anderson, Indiana to Garry and Marsha (Ballard) Scherer.
He is survived by his parents, Garry "Buff" and Marsha (Ballard) Scherer of Newnan, GA; one sister, Tarra Scherer of Newnan, GA; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Howell of Lapel; a niece, Chyanna Scherer; a nephew, Brady Giguere; and a close friend, Liz Pena of Salem, Mass.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
