Ms. Dorothy Sue Mcmahan

Dorothy W. “Sue” McMahan, 96, passed away September 13, 2016, at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional. She was born August 25, 1920, in Belvidere, Illinois to the late Elmer & Faye (Coleman) Woodward. Sue was a 1938 Graduate of Anderson High School. Sue was a 50 year member of the Grandview Ladies Golf Club and a member of the Anderson Lady Elks. She was also a member of the El Rio Golf Club in Ft. Myers, FL, where she had a hole-in-one at the age of 78. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (David) Lazenby; son, Brian (Mary) McMahan; sister, Barbara (Julius Hietz) Schweitzer; grandchildren, Suzanne (John) Bundrick, Brian (Lisa) McGuire, Patrick (fiancé, Christy Denny) McGuire, David (Keely) McMahan, Jennifer (Mathew) Lenke, Jon (Meaghan) McMahan, Sara (Jason) Morgan, Kyle (Katie) Weaver, Elizabeth McMahan, Cynthia McMahan, & David McMahan; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. McMahan; son, Michael McMahan; daughter, Kathleen Weaver; grandson, Allen McMahan; and two sisters and two brothers. Memorial Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00 until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Vincent Hospice-Anderson or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
