Dentice "Willard" Hogue, 94, of Anderson passed away May 19, 2025. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Tennessee to James & Etta (Morrow) Hogue. Willard was a lineman from Delco Remy and a member of Main Street Church of God.
He served his country during the Korean war with the United States Navy.
Willard enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time on his porch.
Willard is survived by his daughter, Loretta Brown (Jim Brothers); sister, Becky Smith; grandchildren, Denny Brown, Cory (Angie) Brown, Heather (Ben) Johnson, and Andrea (Nathan) Pershing. He was also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim Sokol & Kenny Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Irene and Alma Hogue; son, Archie Hogue; siblings, Carson Hogue, Frank Hogue, Beul Hogue, Reba Boswell, Buford Hogue, Willis Hogue; great-grandchild, Ridge Pershing; and son-in-law, Stephen Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 23, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson with Pastor Carl Stagner officiating. The Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
