Dellacene Rutherford

Dellacene Rutherford, 89, Anderson, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Community Hospital of Anderson following a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1923, in Lapel, Indiana to Ray and Martha (Sylvester) Green. She attended Lapel High School and was a wonderful mother and a devoted and doting grandmother. Dellacene was very family oriented. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Lloyd of Lapel; three grandsons, John (wife, Rhonda) Lloyd of Lapel, Ron (wife, Shelley) Lloyd, and David Lee (wife, Jennie) Lloyd all of Anderson; and six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Alice Breese of Lapel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years, Ollie Rutherford; one sister, Helen Jones; three brothers, Otis, Hilbert, and Benny Green; and her son-in-law, David E. Lloyd. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
