Deborah Sharpe

Deborah Sharpe, 78, of Lapel, Indiana, passed away October 21, 2026, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, IN following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on December 16, 1947, in Anderson, Indiana to James and Joan (Anderson) Troutman. 

Deborah graduated from Lapel High School class of 1966. She retired as a salesperson from furniture sales and interior design studios. She was also a beautician. 

Deborah enjoyed, gardening, working in her flowers, riding her golf cart around Lapel, spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren play sports, and being a huge Bulldog fan, she also enjoyed spending time at Lake Webster.

Deborah is survived by her children; Tammy (Darrell) Richardson of Lapel, Leeann (Scott) Heinlein of NH, Bryan (Kamesa) Sharpe of Anderson, and Andrea (Aaron)Sharpe of Lapel; sister, Terri (Jim) Sexton of FL; 8 grandchildren, Mitchell, Jon Ross, Luke, Tyler, Brooks, Conner, Makia, and Marley; 3 great-grandchilren, Carson, Emma, and Aurora. Deborah was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Doug Troutman; and a special neice Stacy Boles. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28th at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel with Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27th at the Funeral Home.
