David Lee Bartlow

David Lee Bartlow, 77, of Anderson, passed away December 16, 2015, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born January 12, 1938 in Anderson, to Robert and Ellen (Bravard) Bartlow. David married Mary Pursley in Anderson at Central Christian Church on May 21, 1960. He was a teacher at Frankton High School, retiring in 1994 after 35 years of service.

David enjoyed his yearly vacation with his best friend David McCafferty to Estes Park, CO.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Bartlow of Anderson; two daughters, Doreen Bartlow and Donna Bartlow, both of Anderson; sister, Kay Huffer of Anderson; nephew, Scott Huffer of Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Therese) Pursley, Donna Deweese, Jim (Marge) Stewart, Robert Pursley and Wanda (Jim) Stringer; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Rodney Huffer; and niece Karen Huffer.

Services will be Noon Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Mr. John Hannum officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10am-Noon at the funeral home prior to services.
