It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of David Allen Barker on April 8, 2026. Born on February 7, 1979, in Anderson, Indiana, David was a cherished son of David L. and Debra K. (Leonard) Barker. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Amanda (Adams) Barker, who was not only his partner in life but also his support system.

David proudly served in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged in 2001.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, David had a zest for life that was truly infectious. He was an ardent fan of the magical worlds of Harry Potter, the vast galaxies of Star Wars, and the whimsical adventures of Doctor Who. His passion for all genres of movies reflected his vibrant personality. David was also a dog lover, always caring for his furry friends with kindness and affection.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Amanda; children, Kaleb, Jillian, Samantha, Avery and Ava; grandchildren, Vivian and Noah; parents; brother, Jason Barker; niece, Andrea Barker; and dear friend, Allen Elam.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Barker; maternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Rainer; and paternal grandmother, Annie Barker.

David's memory will be honored with a Celebration of life on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, at his parents' home in Ingalls, IN.
