Danny Schuyler

Danny D Schuyler, 87, West Monroe, LA, passed away of natural causes at his home on August 21, 2021.
He was born on September 10, 1933, in Elwood, Indiana and lived in Anderson. Danny was a graduate of Anderson High School. His career with General Motors started with Guide Division in 1951 in Anderson, attending General Motor Institute with Guide Lamp Division as his sponsor. Receiving a B.B.A. Degree with a major in accounting in 1955.
He also served in the U.S. Army stationed in Colorado Springs, CO.
A transfer to Inland Fisher Guide Division of General Motors in Monroe LA in 1976, where he was resident Comptroller. He retired from Guide Division in 1992; later being employed as Comptroller by Consolidated Truck Parts in Monroe for seven years.
Survivors include two sons Dwight Schuyler (wife Shari Schuyler) of Columbia, MO; and Douglas Schuyler (husband Miguel Cruz-Ruiz) of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren Jared Schuyler of Jacksonville, FL and Ashley Schuyler of Kansas City, MO.
Danny was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Mary Day Schuyler.
Visitation will be Friday April 8, 2022, 10:00 am to noon at Brown Butz Diedring Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
