Clara L. "Lucy" Lydy

Clara L. "Lucy" Lydy, 73, of Lapel, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home in Lapel, following a brief illness. 

She was born on December 10, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Walter Wallace Lydy and Freida Mae (Higgins) Mathews. She retired after many years of driving a school bus, which she loved. She enjoyed seeing her school kids every day.

She enjoyed being involved with the town. She enjoyed going to the bar where she would play bingo, throwing darts and singing karaoke. She also enjoyed playing computer games and playing games on her phone.

Clara is survived by a daughter, Deirdre (William Artie) Pinkston; a grandchild, Garrett (Kyla) Pinkston; several nieces and nephews; and her furbabies, Tinkerbell, Chloe and Anyah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Goldman; her parents; one brother; and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Rev. Gary Cable officiating. Entombment will take place at Brookside Cemetery Mausoleum in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the funeral home.
