Cheryle L. Murdock

Cheryle L. (Cummings) Murdock, 74, of Anderson, passed away on July 18, 2022 at Community Hospital in Anderson. Cheryle was born on September 7, 1947 in Portland, Oregon to the late Herman R. and Carol R. (Lillie) Cummings. She worked for Barber’s Manufacturing for a number of years before her retirement. Cheryle loved playing bingo and doing puzzles. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her friends every Friday night. More importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cheryle will be dearly missed by her sons, Charles R. (Chrissy) Murdock, Jr., Paul L. (Tina) Murdock, Jeramie W. Murdock, and Jamie E. (Amber) Murdock; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sheila D. Blanchard, Cathrin A. Stephens, and Jenifer G. Atkins; special friend, Claudia Smith; and her cat, Bear.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Timothy J. Murdock; and sister, Robin Cummings.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory has been honored to serve her family. Memorial contributions in Cheryle’s name may be gifted to the Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
