Charles L. Schroeder, 62, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
He was born on June 16, 1964, in Illinois to Roland Schroeder and Kathy Schroeder. He currently worked for Don Hines Ford in Fishers in maintenance.
He was an avid KISS fan. He enjoyed building models and loved anything military.
Charles is survived by his wife, Vicky (Horning) Schroeder; a daughter, Stephanie; a stepdaughter, Chrissy (husband, Scott) Manis of Anderson; his father, Roland Schroeder; four grandchildren, Jordan (Rachel) Maxey of Anderson, Bailey (Chase) Arbuckle of Elwood, Lexi (Drew) Manis of Anderson and Gavin (Maddy) Manis of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Linda Schroeder.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Tony Cole officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
