It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" Haney, who left us on September 28, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 22, 1955, to Robert Joseph and Lorene Stella (Remily) Haney, Chuck was a true friend to many and a beloved family member.
After graduating, Chuck dedicated an impressive 42 years to the auto body industry, where he honed his craft and formed lasting friendships, particularly with the folks at Mac's Auto Body. He had a great passion for life, whether cheering on his beloved Indiana University basketball team and the Indianapolis Colts or enjoying a round of golf. Chuck was a huge NASCAR fan and loved spending time outdoors, especially camping.
Chuck is survived by his son, Cody (Annie) Haney; and his brothers, Scott (Lisa) Haney, David Sr. Haney, and Mark (Tammy) Haney; along with his three nieces, Taylar, Taryn, and Trystan (Ryan), two nephews, Mason (Bre) and Mitchell (Kayla), and two cherished grandchildren, as well as four great nieces and two great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, David Haney, Jr.
A celebration of Chuck's life will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, located at 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana. Following the visitation, we will gather at 2:30 PM for services at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Parkinson's research to honor Chuck's legacy. We invite all who knew him to come together to remember his vibrant spirit and passionate life.
