Charles "Chuck" Kent Philbert

Charles "Chuck" Kent Philbert, 67,passed away peacefully at his home in Leesburg, Florida on November 2, 2025.

Chuck was a proud 100% disabled veteran who dedicated his life to hard work, family, and service. After earning his associate degree from Ivy Tech, he built a respected career as a union millwright before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sharon Rae Grice and Charles Parton Philbert, and his daughter, Tonya Jean Philbert.

Chuck is survived by his daughter Rosemary Elfrink; his brothers Brian and Steven (Marie) Philbert; his sisters Amy Philbert and Vickie Halsell; several nieces and nephews.

Chuck will be remembered for his steadfast spirit, his love of riding motorcycles, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

Services will be at 8:00 pm Friday, December 5 at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN, 46013. Fr. Whitney Smith will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will be in the spring at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
