Chad Langdon Phillips, born February 1st, 1973, was called home to be with the Lord on February 17th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Phillips; paternal grandparents, Gene and Juanita Phillips, affectionately known as "Hop and Annie"; paternal great-grandparents, Glen and Lucille Sykes, affectionately known as "Paw and Maw"; and his father-in-law, Carl Upchurch.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carla Phillips; children, Alyssa (Aaron) Hubbard, 31, of Nashville, TN, Kay Phillips, 28, of Clarksville, TN, Hannah (Jalen) Phillips, 21, of Muncie, IN, and Ava-Sophia LeNore Greenidge of Bonney Lake, WA; mother, Gail Phillips of Nolensville, TN; brother, Brandon (Julie) Phillips of Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Jean Upchurch of Muncie, IN; sister-in-law, Annie (Jessica Shuck) Upchurch of Kokomo, IN; best friend, Sam (Linda) Hunt of Antioch, TN, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; lots of friends from various places; and last, but certainly not least, his four beloved dogs, Ozzy, Nova, Olive, and Dutchess.

Chad was an avid disc golfer, having played for many decades. He loved flying and at one point completed a significant number of hours towards his private pilots license. Whether it was fishing, camping, grilling, seeing concerts, or just playing with his dogs, he enjoyed being outside when the weather was permitting.

Chad never met a stranger and he will be so missed by everyone that knew him.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place at a later date, please check back here for updated information. Chad's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
