Cathy Garza

Cathy Garza, 73, of Pendleton, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on October 2, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Earl and Mary Jo (Shaffer) Smith.

Cathy graduated from Pendleton High School. She previously was a member of Prairie Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, playing with her dog, camping, and spending time with her family.

Cathy is survived by her mother, Mary Jo (Shaffer) Smith of Pendleton; two sons, Josh Wall of Greenwood and Matthew Earl (Rachel) Smith of Bloomfield; stepchildren, Eli Garza, Mary Featheringgill, and Belinda Garza; and five grandchildren, Kirstin, Justin, Ashleigh, Erin, and Josie.

She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Eli Garza.

A graveside service and burial of cremated remains will take place at Prairie Memorial Cemetery in Noblesville, Indiana at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street Lapel, Indiana 46051.
