On May 12, 2019, Carrol McNeal, 76, of Chesterfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born June 13, 1942, in Anderson the daughter of Carrol E. Thomas and Rosemary Pebernat and was a lifelong Madison County resident. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1960 and worked for Fashion Cleaners for many years and retired from St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. Carrol enjoyed working word puzzles and crocheting and was the first woman to win a trophy at the Muncie Drag Strip. She also enjoyed worshiping at the Gathering with Man for Man. Carrol is survived by her sons, Russ (Jana) McNeal and Charles Redmon; and a grandson, Devon McNeal. She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt and uncle, Bertie and Bill Case; and an aunt, Barbara Griffin. A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Joe Huff officiating.
