Carolyn Jane Pierce

Carolyn Jane Pierce, 84, of Wilkinson, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026 at her home. Carolyn was born on August 18, 1941 in New Castle to the late Ernest and Ruby (Phillips) Spears. Carolyn was a graduate of Knightstown High School, class of 1959.

Carolyn worked as an inspector for Cargill in Springdale, Arkansas for a number of years before moving back to Indiana. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Carolyn loved listening to music, especially classic country and soft rock.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brett Hayden of New Castle, Bryan (Lynn) Hayden of Cane Hill, AR, and Charla (Dean) Fout of Charlottesville; grandchildren, Matt, Adam, Hannah, Evan, and Cole; seven great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Paul Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Christopher David Hayden; three brothers, Donald Spears, Frank Spears, and Dale Spears; and two sisters, Jeri Zimmerman and Jean Colip.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Carolyn's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Condo Chapel.
