Carla Kemp-Davis

Carla M. Kemp-Davis, 64, of Anderson, left us on March 29, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 7, 1961, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Carla was a bright spirit filled with passion and joy. She was the beloved daughter of Larry Kemp and Alice (Wilson) Shortridge.

Carla shared her life with her husband, Jeffrey Dean Davis. Together, they made countless memories on the lake, enjoyed adventures traveling, and cherished their time at popular spots like Putin Bay - Lake Erie, and Siesta Key, Florida.

Before she retired, Carla made her mark in the medical field as a respiratory therapist, and she always had a soft spot for her furry friend, Mamie, who brought immense joy to her life.

Carla is survived by her spouse, Jeff Davis; Step-Mother, Marjorie Kemp; Three children, Crystal, Brittany, and Christopher; Siblings, Ivy, Ivan, Larry, Tommy, and Christina; She is also survived by several grandchildren and nieces and nephews; Special cousins, Scott (Spouse, Michelle) Hill, Courtney (Spouse, Thomas) Drake, Brad Kemp, Jeff Kemp, Michelle Kemp, Pam (Spouse, Steve) Lackey, Brenda White, Cindy (Spouse, Steve) Wilhoite; Step Sister-in-law, Deb Law; Special Friends, Ed (Spouse, Beth) Duncan, Art (Spouse, Annie) Overmyer, and Nancy Kendall.

She is preceded in death by her parents and Mother-in-law, Mamie Sweigart.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:30pm at the Chapel at East Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, Indiana 46012. Entombment will follow services at the cemetery.
