Bob "Bobbie" Dean Sloan

April 8, 1933 — March 13, 2026

Pendleton

Bob (Bobbie) Dean Sloan, 92, formerly of Pendleton, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 8, 1933, in Oblong, Illinois to the late Kenneth and Edith (DeLawter) Sloan.

Bob married the love of his life, Linda Lou Jackson, on September 11, 1955. Their life together was a testament to love, commitment, and family lasting for 69 years until her passing in 2024. They created a vibrant family that continues to thrive.

Bob was a quality home builder for many years with Sloan & Son Homes in Anderson, Indiana and eventually retired from General Motors/Delco-Remy. His hands were always busy-whether it was working on vintage Model T cars or tinkering with various projects, he was a man of action and creativity.

In addition to his professional endeavors, he served in the Naval Reserve, loved to travel, attend his grandchildren's sporting events, and most of all be with family. He was an accomplished organist and pianist playing for many churches in the Pendleton area for most of his life. He will be dearly missed by children, Mike (Jean) Sloan, Mark Sloan, Kelly (Jim) Brown and leaves a legacy cherished by nine grandchildren and soon to be 23 great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Linda, daughter-in-law, Lorei Sloan, his brother, Donald Sloan, and his sister, Betty Marriott.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00am at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton, Indiana.

In this time of remembrance, let us celebrate Bob's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.

Bob's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Lahm Chapel.
