Bill Baker

Bill Baker, of Pendleton, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at his home in Pendleton, leaving behind a family who loved him dearly and a community filled with memories of a life well-lived. 

Bill enjoyed the simple things in life and had many interests over the years. An avid outdoorsman in his younger days, he loved camping, horses and spending time outdoors. He also had a talent and appreciation for woodworking and a lifelong fondness for classic cars. He also could be found working on his model trains.

Around town, Bill was well-known for his classic truck and could often be found lounging at the local coffee shop, enjoying conversation and the familiar company of friends. But among the things that brought him the greatest joy was supporting his family. He especially loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and being there to cheer them on.To his children, Bill was more than a father. He was a truly great man. They admired him so deeply that, in their eyes, their dad could walk on water. That love and admiration speaks to the kind of father he was and the lasting place that he will always hold in their hearts.

Bill is survived by a three children, Belinda (husband, Brad) Cash, Kara (husband, Mike) Eisenhut and Chad (wife, Jami) Baker; six grandchildren, Jacob Cash, Zach Cash, Trevor Eisenhut, Allison Eisenhut, Austin Baker, Josiah Baker; and two great-grandchildren, Nadilynn Baker and Payton Cash.

He was preceded in death by wife whom he married October 18, 1964, Karen L. (Rumler) Baker on November 18, 2025; his parents, Arthur and Wilma Baker; and a grandson, Kyle Baker. 

Bill will be remembered for the things he loved, the familiar places he enjoyed, and most importantly, the time he spent with the people who mattered most to him. From his classic truck around town and conversations at the coffee shop to evenings outdoors and days spent cheering from the sidelines. 

Bill leaves behind many memories that his family and friends will carry with them. His presence will be deeply missed, his stories will continue to be told, and he will always be lovingly remembered.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Mary Cloud officiating. Burial will follow at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, at the funeral home.
