Betty Jo Straley Beckley

Betty Jo Straley Beckley, 74, of Anderson, Indiana, left us on June 26, 2025, surrounded by love and warm memories. She was born on October 8, 1950, to Glen and Jane (Atchley) Straley. 

Betty was a vibrant spirit who filled her days with hard work and a passion for life. She cherished her dog, Tazzy, loved frogs, and enjoyed watching DIY projects that kept her busy and creative. 

Betty will be deeply missed by her family, including her three children, Tracy Walters (Jeremiah), Tammy Smith (Jimmy), and TJ Turner (Melissa). She adored her grandchildren, Timothy Young, Tarrah Young, Josh Smith, Cassandra Caudell, Autumn Smith, Abigail Smith, Elias Smith, Annaleigh Smith, Thomas Xavier Turner and Xander Turner, as well as great-grandchildren, Delilah and Jasper Young, Gannon Young, and Bryson Wilson; her loving siblings, Patty Saunders (Michael) and Robert Straley (Nancy), who will always carry her memory in their hearts.She was preceded in death by her parents; her fomer husband, Thomas Turner; and second husband, Frederick Beckley.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Betty's life at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, located at 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana. Visitation will take place from 1 PM to 2 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025. We'll all have a chance to share stories, laughs, and remember the wonderful moments we had with Betty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Human Society-something Betty would have surely supported.

We want everyone who knew and loved her to come together, as she would have loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and friends. Betty's spirit will live on in our hearts, and we look forward to honoring her legacy together.
