Betty L. Vass

Betty L. Vass, 82, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional after an extended illness. She had been a resident of Anderson for almost 60 years. She was born December 6, 1934, in New Castle to the late Richard & Clara Belle (Ballenger) Wools. Betty had retired from being a CNA. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and watching hummingbirds. Betty is survived by her children, Ronald Bostic and Yolanda Puente; grandchildren, Courtney Miller, Corey Bostic, and Aaron Bostic; siblings, Beverly Newcomb, Thelma Mooreland, Elizabeth Dian Paaske, and Delores Wools; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Bostic; brothers, Franklin Wools & Richard Wools, Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Donald Newcomb & Gordon Paaske. Memorial services 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the services.
