Barbara Ellen Brinker

Barbara Ellen Brinker, 80, Lapel, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
She was born on January 29, 1928, in Lapel, to John and Rilda (Elkins) Patrick.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1946.
Barbara was a member of Day Break Community Church and the Lapel American Legion Auxilary.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Brinker; four children, Mitchell "Mick" Brinker of Greenfield, Nancy (husband, Bruce) Trezise of Terre Haute, Lynn (husband, Spencer) Carpenter of Noblesville, and Dan (wife, Patti) Brinker of Anderson; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Patrick of Tuscon, AZ, and Jim Patrick of Fortville; and one sister, Margaret "Pat" Hunt of Fortville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
