Anthony Tortora

Anthony "Tony" Tortora, 68, of Anderson, passed away on August 28, 2026 after an extended illness. Tony was born on June 15, 1958 in Rochester, New York to the late Peter and Louise (Ward) Tortora. He married the love of his life, Cherly (Anderson) Tortora, on April 19, 1986 and the two were married for 40 years. Tony was an over the road truck driver for over 30 years until his retirement in 2017. His most recent job being for Carter Express.

Tony loved to fish and watch NASCAR.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Cheryl; their children, Jeffrey (Shannon) Tortora, Tina (John) Powless, Michelle "Shelly" (Dan) Ivory, and Ryan Stewart; grandchildren, Hayden, Abi, Zeldan, Eva, Annabelle, Emerie, and Oaklyn; sisters, Sweetpea Valcourt, Carolyn Frank, and Cindy Cloutier; sister-in-law, Kitty Holmes; niece, Aurora; and nephew, Jared.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Sanderson.
