PENDLETON—Ann Heiser, 63, of Pendleton, passed away January 3, 2026, at her home. She was born on May 14, 1962, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Kenneth E. and Barbara E. (Holland) Mercer.
Ann was a graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and enjoyed attending Ovid Community Church. She worked at the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility for 25 years.
In her free time, Ann enjoyed gardening and took great pride in caring for her flowers and plants. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Maggie, who was a constant companion and source of comfort. Ann loved spending time with her friends and family and treasured the moments she shared with them.
Survivors include her children, Brandon Heiser of Pendleton and Malorie (Eric) Neal of Noblesville; grandchildren, Evan Heiser and Grayson Neal; siblings, Pam (Jerry) Estelle of Pendleton, Marta (DeWayne) King of Pendleton, and Michael (Karyn) Mercer of Kendallville; and several nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susan Mercer.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with a service officiated by Pastor John David Delgado beginning at 7 p.m. A graveside service with family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Protection League.
