Andrew D. Conover

Andrew D. Conover, 66, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home in Anderson, surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness.

He was born on November 21, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, to Donald R. Conover and Suzette "Suzy" (Whisler) Conover. He was a 1977 graduate of Anderson High School. He spent his career at the Hamilton and Madison County Surveyors' offices.

He was a gifted guitarist, an avid musician, and was a member of Billy Tightrope and the Sleepwalkers. He was a member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge #271 F. & A.M. and was also a member of the Academy of Aeronautics. He loved to fish, hunt, and rebuild tractors and guitars.

Andy is survived by his wife, Emily (Halvorsen) Conover; three children, Michael (wife, Cortney) Hofer of Lapel, Lindi Conover (fiance, Ian Dorrel) of Anderson, and Jon "Ollie" Conover of Anderson; two grandchildren, Dylan Hofer and Lennon Hofer; a great-grandchild, Penelope Hofer; his brother, Doug (wife, Cindy) Conover of Fishers; his sister, Amy (husband, Steven) White of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins in California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Diana Conover.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051. Masonic rites will be conducted prior to the service by the Middletown Masonic Lodge #271 F. & A.M.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the funeral home.
