It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Renee Neal-Holliday, who left this world on October 4, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on January 18, 1969, Amy was a vibrant, independent spirit who filled the lives of those around her with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Amy graduated from Pendleton High School and earned her associate degree from Ivy Tech. She went on to build a successful career in logistics management while also managing her own properties. Known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and no-nonsense approach, Amy took pride in doing things well and being someone others could count on.
Amy found joy and comfort in her faith, family, and the friendships she built throughout her life. A free spirit at heart, she loved the freedom and thrill of riding motorcycles and spent countless days, nights, and weekends on the road with her crew of biker friends. Her adventurous nature extended to many other favorite pastimes, including camping, horseback riding, canoeing, and playing games with friends and family.
Above all, Amy loved her family and friends fiercely. Strong-willed and independent, she was never afraid to speak her mind, but those who knew her best knew that her honesty came with a heart full of love. She was the kind of person who would stand by those she loved through anything, always ready to lend a hand, offer advice, or simply be there when someone needed her.
She is survived by her two beloved children, Brandon Burmeister and Jason (Karon) Neal, and was a proud grandmother to Randynn and Belladona Burmeister, as well as Tinsley, Jackson, and Lincoln Neal. Known as Mamaw Amy, she had a special knack for spoiling her grandchildren, often showering them with love, thoughtful keepsakes, and fun experiences that created lasting memories.
She also leaves behind her brother, Richard West, and countless friends, including many she met through her love of motorcycles and her travels to Florida. The friendships she made and the memories they shared were a treasured part of her life.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jo Ann West, and her sister, Becky Taylor. Though she is no longer with us, her love, strength, and free spirit live on through her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
We invite you to celebrate Amy's life, with a public viewing to be held on October 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson. Her funeral service will be held on October 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM, also at Bozell Funeral Homes in Anderson.
In the spirit of Amy, come share stories, laughter, and memories that reflect the beautiful life she lived. If you ride a motorcycle, bring it. She would like that.
She will be deeply missed but forever loved.
