Alice L. “Lane” Pollard

Alice L. “Lane” Pollard, 92, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.
She was born April 28, 1933, in Blue Ash, Ohio to the late George Stuart and Margaret Elizabeth (Blevins) Dean.
She spent most of her working life as a bookkeeper in the construction industry. What she loved most of all, was spending time with family and friends. Hobbies she enjoyed were porcelain painting and gardening. She was an accomplished seamstress as well.
She will be missed by many people including her children, Scott Ross, David (Luanne) Ross, Becca (Nate) Thomas and Tony (Theresa) Ross; daughter-in-law, Desaree Ross; stepchildren, Sylvia Dailey, Charles Pollard and Julie (Kevin) Richardson; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Stuart Dean; mother, Margaret Elizabeth (Blevins) Dean Starr; husband Richard L. Pollard; sons, Mike Ross and Robert Ross; daughter-in-law, Karen Ross; stepdaughter, Sharrel Boike; sister, Marie Vincent; and brothers, Bill Dean and Bob Dean.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2026, with services at 1 p.m. at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Condo Chapel, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, Indiana. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Indiana.
